Moniker that started as a chuckle

The nickname General Public Jackie is rooted in my choice to actively attend Village Board meetings since 2012; many times as the sole member of the general public gallery.  

The chuckle: During the Public Comment section of the village board meetings, the chairperson would ask, "Is there anyone from the Public that would like to speak?....Jackie?" calling me by name, as I was the sole member of general public gallery.  It soon became an affectionate  greeting by some to say "Welcome general public Jackie"...and the moniker stuck.

I was inspired to create the General Public Jackie Facebook page in October 2018 as a venture to connect the residents and taxpayers inside of Bellevue to information, while creating community connections.
